About the Author

Always a sailor...

Born at an early age, I took a liking to boats and all things nautical. After high school I even joined the Navy. Since University I've worked as a psychologist, professor, administrator, entrepreneur and journalist.

For a number of years I've been teaching Boating courses for the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron. I also teach sailing skills on charter boats off the coast of British Columbia. Occasionally, I charter a boat for a week or two and write about the experience.

Sailingaway.ca provides a collection of my articles, which have been published in various boating magazines. If you're planning to sail in my wake, you may benefit from my experience.
